The original closure was caused by a washed out roadway but this closure is for maintenance operations on the dam. The ODFW is reporting Laurence to be closed until October 16th.

Just an FYI. Lawrence lake is currently closed due to a road washout by Elliot Creek. Lawrence Lake campground, trailhead and day use areas are closed until road repairs are made.
