Hey folks, before you know it, trout season will be here. Warmer weather and the Stonefly / Salmon fly hatch will be in full force. With the current state of where we are with the Virus, now is a great time to get your gear dialed in. This time will pass and we will be able to get back out there and enjoy what our world has to offer. I am pretty sure if most folks are like me, I will be ready and anxious to get outdoors and back to normal life and doing the things we all love.
That being said, I thought I would cover a few of our outstanding Trout Outfits that we have created here at the shop to help making it a bit easier to choose what you need to get. These are quality outfits that come with some savings.
These are your top of the line "All Around Trout Outfits" that you could fish any technique that you desire, including dry flies, nymphs, small streamers, Czech nymphing and even smallmouth bass with poppers. The Rod: The G.LOOMIS ASQUITH has superb power from tip to hand, with quick recovery, and increased sensitivity. The quick recovery and almost no tip wobble help generate blistering line speed also making you more accurate. This rod can make you a better caster if you have a fundamentally sound casting stroke. The Reel: The GALVAN TORQUE has been around a long time and that is saying something. We sell a ton of them and for good reason. They are not complicated, look great, and have a smooth drag system. The somewhat unique appearance of the Torque is a result of the cutouts in the frame, spool, drag knob and foot. This design significantly reduces the weight of the reel while maintaining strength and increasing rigidity. The rounded rims on both spool and frame enhance durability to better withstand impact during extreme angling conditions. Simplicity, functionality and efficiency are combined here. Some say "less is more" and in this case it's true.
The Fly Line: S/A AMPLITUDE SMOOTH INFINITY simply put, are probably our favorite all around fly line here at the shop. It is super slick and super easy to cast and can be used for a number of techniques. Scientific Anglers claim it to be "the highest-performance smooth fly line in the world. With up to five times less drag and eight times the durability of traditional lines, this will change the way you look at fly line performance." I am no scientist or numbers analyst but I can tell you that what they are saying must be true, the line is awesome when you need an all around fly line.

Fly Rod: G.Loomis IMX-PRO 590. For a mid priced rod I must say that it is a better rod than the price tag suggest. It has beautiful flex and feel, and power where you need it. It can delicately present the smallest of dry flies and yet huck a good sized streamer as well. The IMX-PRO series is comprised of 15 purpose driven designs to meet the demands of modern fly fishing. It's a great looking rod as well and has positive feel and durability. Rated as a fast-action rod these sticks are a game-changing addition to the serious angler's quiver. Fly Reel: Sage Spectrum C.
