I have spent a lot of time with these rods – mostly swinging flies for steelhead and I can tell you that they offer exceptional performance. The 7136 is a powerful, yet forgiving rod (I like a 510gr Airflo Compact Skagit here). The 8134 is an absolute cannon with a 600gr Airflo Compact Skagit. The 7110 and 8110 are part of a Switch series that are the smoothest on the market – best with a 450gr Airflo Skagit Switch and a 480 Airflo Skagit Switch, respectively. The 6126 is an agile, summer steelhead stick that loves a 420 Scandi or Rage head.
10150 for big water and big fish.
8129 is a great rod for winter steelhead and king salmon.
5126 if you’re thinking spey for big trout, big flies and tips –
6110 crosses over quite well between trout, bass and small steelies.
