Hi everyone, I'm Cody from the Gorge Fly Shop and I'm going to talk to you about the 10' 5wt. IMX PRO Singlehand rod from G.Loomis.

The fast action singlehand rods are a game changing edition to the serious anglers quiver. No longer are we forced to adapt the old traditional 9' ft fly rod to personalize fishing styles, as the IMX PRO Series offers select models designed for explicit applications.
Several studies have shown that 80-95% of the trouts diet is subsurface. The flies use for nymphing if adopted correctly can help consistently catch more fish on highly pressured waters. Techniques such as checknypmhing for fast turbulent water like the Deschutes or simply high sticking techniques used to keep line off the water and decrease drag are much more effective with a longer more sensitive fly rod.
The IMX PRO 5100-4 answers these demands. What I like about this rod is that the one foot of extra length on there offers superb line mending control and also offers light tippet protection.
