With the invention of many different styles of flies soon came the question of how to store them. Tube Flies and articulates leeches and streamers has perplexed anglers around the world. Dylan Stanley, Proprietor of Plan D has made it his personal goal to solve the storage problem associated with these types of flies.

In this brief article we will look at the smallest offering in the collection known as the Plan D Pocket Box. All Pocket Boxes are built using high quality components and weather resistant seal.

I know many anglers that need this offering. The guy who runs to the steelhead stream and only needs his personal assortment of Intruders. He'll likely only fish his one "go to" pattern but still wants to have options and backups. One small box and a spool of tippet is all he needs and anything else will just be baggage! Pocket Articulated Plus

With hooks on each side the Pocket Articulated Plus can hold up to 20 patterns. Its size really lends itself to smaller stinger patterns such as fish tacos, trout intruders and sculpzillas.

Pocket Standard

Just as the name implies, a standard fly box with slit cut foam insert great for dries, buggers, slatwater or whatever else you want to store and protect.

Pocket Tube Plus

Tube flies have been particularly troublesome to store. At one point I gave up and put mine is a zip lock baggy. Not anymore! Plan D has delivered the solution. The Pocket Tube Plus holds up to 20 of your favorite tube flies. It utilizes stainless steel mandrels that you insert through your tube and then gets secured in a unique row of preformed grip slots. There is also a center section of slit cut foam to house your tube fly hooks. The Pocket Tube Plus comes with one 20 piece mandrel kit. addition Mandrel Kits are available.

Pocket Max Boxes

Pocket Max Articulated Plus

Have your bases covered with total storage up to 40 articulated and stinger type flies. Pocket Max boxes double your storage by utilizing both halves for flies storage.

Pocket Max Standard

A great option for saltwater, terrestrial or whatever single hook flies you wish to store and keep dry.

Can hold up to 40 tube flies and I also see this as a good option to hold 20 tube flies in a staggered format to accommodate longer tube flies. Comes with 2 Mandrel Kits. Additional Mandrel Kits are available.
