Maybe you know of the Redington Classic Trout Fly Rods but were you aware that there are two models in this series that are 6 piece. Redington produces the Classic Trout in a 380-6 and a 590-6.
Why 6 Pieces
A six piece rod makes for easy stow in your travel bag to be sure to have it with you no matter where you fly. It also makes for a great backpack rod into the deep mountain country. The rod tube measures 21.5" long so you can imagine the ease of fly or hike with this rod.
The Classic Trout has a great medium moderate action designed specifically for trout fishing and excels at dry fly and/or spring creek applications and has just enough power for bigger applications such as light streamer or wet fly fishing as well as light nymph indicator fishing.
Two good reel matches for the Classic Trout are the Redington Run Fly Reel with a disc drag or for the a lighter click style reel the Redington Zero is also an awesome match.
