Introduce at I-CAST in 2017, Sage Foundation Fly Rods didn't win any awards but in my inside circles it was unanimously agreed as the one to watch. At $325, I can't think of any USA built fly rod in recent history that even comes close to performance and finish of the Foundation. I doubt it will remain at that price into it's second season. We'll have to wait and find out.
What is newly added, and available now is a 691-4 model in the Foundation lineup. The reference 691 indicates a 9 foot, 6 weight fly rod with Snub Nose Cork Handle and included Fighting Butt. This handle configuration gives it play in the light salt world as well as streamer and nymph game.
